Duskroot Drops a Major Update with Farm Animals Just Days After Mobile Launch

Duskroot, the farming game where you farm by day and delve by dusk, has dropped a major update. The game launched just a few days ago and has now added a new update with farm animals. And not just that, the update also brings orchards and a bunch of new crops to the farm.

Now’s the time to turn your little patch of land into a proper farming business

You can now buy a coop and a barn from the peddler and start raising hens, cows, sheep, and pigs. Hens will give you eggs, cows will provide milk, and you’ll get wool and truffles every few days. Yep, you can put a pig to work finding truffles.

Eggs and milk are available every morning, so get out of bed and check on your farm every day. You can actually walk into the coop and barn, and your animals will sleep inside at night.

The next new thing in Duskroot is that you can now plant apple, cherry, peach, and pear trees. You also get berry bushes and a grape vine, and collect the fruit as it grows. There are ten new crops, including strawberries and watermelons. The pedlar’s cart has also been expanded to three pages, with every seed now available there.

The game starts with your grandmother Wren leaving you her farm. She also leaves you her shop and a hole in the ground underneath the field. Her instructions are pretty simple: water both. And just like that, you figure out what kind of life you’re going to build for yourself.

A cosy farming game with a mine underneath it, there’s a lot to do in Duskroot. During the day, you’ll clear the land, till the soil, plant seeds, water your crops, and eventually harvest whatever you’ve managed to grow. What you grow is what you have to sell.

You get to run your own shop, deciding what goes on the shelves and how much everything costs. Villagers will come in, look at your prices, and buy something.

Then, when the sun starts going down, there’s the mine to explore. Grab a pick and a sword and head underground to see how far you can get. Combat includes sword combos and a bow that you hold to draw before firing, as you’ll run into slimes and skeletons. If you fall in the mine or stay out past midnight, half of what you’re carrying gets left behind.
