Genshin Impact – Version 7.2 Trailer and Overview

Developer HoYoverse held the latest Genshin Impact livestream dedicated to the upcoming Version 7.2: Hour of Ruin. It picks up after the events of Version 7.1, and promises the answer to the cliffhanger the Travelers encountered. What was Ronova’s final gift? And what is going on with Nails of Retribution all around Teyvat?

Genshin Impact – Version 7.2 Banners Feature:

Phase I: 

• 5-star characters: Mitya (Electro Catalyst), Furina (Hydro Sword);
• 4-star characters: Valeriy (Electro)
• 5-star weapons: Starsealed Edict (Catalyst), Splendor of Tranquil Waters (Sword)

While in the party, Mitya (5-star Electro Catalyst) converts the team’s Superconduct reactions into Stellar-Conduct reactions, boosting the entire party’s Stellar-Conduct DMG while accumulating special energy. Pressing his Elemental Skill releases this energy to deal periodic Stellar-Conduct DMG to nearby enemies based on the amount stored, while holding the Skill consumes it to unleash a rapid flurry of enhanced Charged Attacks, enabling him to shift seamlessly between off-field and on-field roles.

His Elemental Burst deals AoE Electro DMG and generates additional special energy, sustaining his rotations through prolonged battles. In certain areas of Snezhnaya, his detection device also helps players uncover hidden paths and unlock a reward that can change Mitya’s appearance.

Also joining the playable roster is Valeriy, a 4-star Electro Sword wielder and disciplined Major of the Armory Palace who provides shields and boosts Electro DMG, particularly for Stellar-Conduct reaction teams.

Phase II: 

• 5-star characters: Zibai (Geo Sword), Linnea (Geo Bow)
• 5-star weapons: Lightbearing Moonshard (Sword), Golden Frostbound Oath (Bow)

• The Grand Defense: Defy the Unjust Judgement Event. The Nail of Retribution has descended, and the Holy Soil phenomenon is spreading across Teyvat, throwing one region after another into crisis. The seven nations are joining forces, mobilizing every resource at their disposal to push back the disasters erupting on all fronts.
• Frames of Fierce Splendor event. Esfir, who is always eager to hone her filmmaking skills, has invited you and Paimon to work with her.
• Stress Block Smashing Project event. Two yumekui-baku employees of the Aisa Bathhouse have arrived at teh Easybreeze Holiday Resort to operate a special game. Crush your stress to your heart’s content!
• Ley Line Overflow double drop event.

Adjustments & additions: 

• The mini-map will now prioritize displaying the items you’re currently tracking instead of all of them.
• The batch removal limit for Prime Ice Constructs will be further increased.
• Leyline information will now show enemy details.
• New stages will be added to Edge of Survival.
