Netmarble has released a new update for its monster-taming action RPG Mongil: Star Dive, introducing the five-star Wind-element character Chloe alongside a new story event and several limited-time activities. The update also brings back two previously available characters, with additional Halloween content scheduled for October 28. The update is available now on mobile devices and PC via the Epic Games Store.
Chloe joins the roster as a Fighter who specializes in powerful punches and spinning kicks. Before the fall of Nirvan, she earned recognition for her martial arts abilities and continued helping others as her homeland faced destruction. Her backstory is the focus of a new three-week event titled The Road to a Broken Heart.
During the event, players can challenge a dedicated dungeon, complete missions, and participate in the Intensive Training! minigame to earn event currency. This currency can be exchanged for rewards, including a live background and summon tickets.
Additional activities include Special Missions with Chloe and Chloe’s 7-Day Gifts, offering more opportunities to collect summon tickets and other rewards, such as a Mutant Monsterling Selection Chest. The update also features a second half-anniversary rerun recruitment event, bringing back Esther and Nagi alongside their respective Artifacts.
More content will arrive on October 28, when the Halloween-themed Nightmarch – Midnight Commotion event begins. Esther will also receive a seasonal costume called [Esther] Alluring Devil of the Night.
For those unfamiliar, Mongil: Star Dive is a reimagining of the 2013 mobile RPG Monster Taming. Developed using Unreal Engine 5, the game features real-time combat built around switching between three characters. Its Monsterling Collection system also allows players to capture, collect, and synthesize monsters for use in gameplay.
What do you think of Chloe joining Mongil: Star Dive? Are you planning to recruit her, or are you saving for another character? Let us know your thoughts, and stay tuned to Noisy Pixel for more gaming news.
