New awesome anime collaboration in FATAL FURY: Tokyo Revengers join the fight

Manjiro “Mikey” Sano and Ken “Draken” Ryuguji are part of the Season 3 Character Pass in the fighting game FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves (FATAL FURY CotW). They originate in the Tokyo Revengers manga and anime series.

It’s the second great anime collaboration for FATAL FURY CotW. Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star joined the roster in Season 2, and some esports professionals already pick him for big events.

FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves continues the mind-blowing marathon of adding one new character per month. Now, SNK steps even further, as both Manjiro Sano and Ken Ryuguji join the game on Oct. 22, 2026.

Tokyo Revengers in FATAL FURY CotW: Teaser trailer

SNK Corporation revealed the collaboration between their game, FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves, and the Tokyo Revengers series during a Nintendo Direct stream in September 2026. The developers showed us a short teaser trailer.

Who are Manjiro “Mikey” Sano and Ken “Draken” Ryuguji?

Tokyo Revengers is one of the best-selling manga series of all time. The anime adaptation has been running since 2021, and season 4 debuts on Oct. 3, 2026.

The series’ story revolves around the time leaps of Takemichi Hanagaki, who can return to the past. The guy uses this ability to fix tragic events.

• Manjiro “Mikey” Sano is the leader of the Tokyo Manji Gang. He created the organization with noble ideas in mind, but life’s hits turned Tokyo Manji into a criminal organization. Takemichi Hanagaki tries to prevent this and save Mikey from becoming a brutal maniac.

• Ken “Draken” Ryuguji is the best friend of Manjiro Sano and the vice leader of the Tokyo Manji Gang. In various timelines, his death and potential death cause a series of tragic events, and Takemichi Hanagaki has to get involved to prevent the worst. 

There is no info on the playstyles of Ken Ryuguji and Manjiro Sano yet. They should be revealed in new gameplay trailers — perhaps after the release of Kim Kaphwan, planned for September.

Evo France 2026 can be a good platform for new announcements from SNK Corporation. This fighting games esports event runs from Oct. 9 to Oct. 11.

FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves is coming to Nintendo Switch 2

In addition to revealing the Tokyo Revengers characters, SNK Corporation announced a Nintendo Switch 2 version of FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves. 

• A digital version is out on Oct. 22.
• A physical copy will be available from Jan. 21. 2027.

FATAL FURY CotW has already treated us to some pretty brave collaborations, and more may come in the future. The game features characters from two anime franchises, Tokyo Revengers and Fist of the North Star, from Street Fighter, and also real-world personalities: Cristiano Ronaldo and Salvatore Ganacci.

Something exciting can be announced for the final DLC character of Season 3. This addition to the roster is scheduled for December 2026, and it’s still a mystery.
