Occult Turn-Based Roguelike RPG WANE Announced for PC

Developer Metis Creative and publisher Shoreline Games have announced their occult turn-based roguelike RPG, WANE, for PC via Steam.

WANE follows Declan Wayne, an archaeologist whose deteriorating memories have transformed the cerebral setting of Ravelle into a labyrinth. Locations are shaped by his defining moments, trauma, obsessions, and regrets, so Ravelle can change between expeditions.

Players recruit adventurers and assemble a three-person party before heading into grid-based tactical battles. Combat incorporates positioning, cover, line of sight, and percentage-based attacks, along with random encounters, resource attrition, and boss fights.

Biomes include the Ravellian Sanatorium, the Palace of Arvanshah, and the Death Pilgrimage to Erabel. Between runs, players return to Declan’s antiquarian shop with relics collected during expeditions. Players can appraise and sell these at auction, with the proceeds going toward facility upgrades and future expeditions.
